Thank you for considering our smoke free home for your vacation lodging. Sorry, there are no pets allowed.
We love families. We continue to add family friendly features. New for 2010: swing set, stroller, bedrail to prevent little ones from falling out of bed, hammock, air hockey table
Our home is furnished with everything you need to be comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with cookware, blender, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, coffee grinder, place settings for twelve, etc. The towels and linens are furnished, and there is a washer and dryer for your convenience, as well. There are even two DVD players and an assortment of dvds to watch.
You enter a large kitchen with breakfast nook and a large, three barstool island. There is a full size refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher. The kitchen is open to a living room with a 46 inch high definition, LCD television; fireplace; and a sectional sofa with sleeper and recliner. Beyond the living room you will find the dining room and family room. You will find several board games, and decks of cards for rainy days. There is a second sofa sleeper in the family room.
There is a full bathroom off the family room. The bathtub is a jet tub. We also installed special toilet seats with a small seat for children and a regular size seat for adults in two of the bathrooms. Children love them.
The three bedrooms are also accessed via the family room. One bedroom is setup with two twin beds, the second with a queen bed, and the master suite with a king size air bed with individual digital firmness controls. Additionally, the master bedroom has a 42 inch high definition t.v. and a walk in closet.
The master bedroom also has a private bath with a soaking tub and a four foot shower.
All the bedrooms have quiet Hunter ceiling fans, and the house has central air. We have also provided a hair dryer, iron, and portable ironing board.
There is a cd player in the kitchen that pipes music into the rest of the house. There are two speakers in the Master Suite.
The washer, dryer, and half bath are located just inside the entry before you walk into the kitchen.
A covered porch runs the length of the house. Enjoy your morning or evening coffee from the table on the porch while you watch for wildlife that often frequents the large yard. One often sees birds and squirrels, and, occasional sees deer and turkeys having fun. There is also a fire pit for your enjoyment; A fire may be started anytime for cooking food. Fire wood must be purchased locally, however, if there is wood in the yard, you may use it.
Arbor Lake is a very short walk. It's more of a pond than a Lake, though, we find it relaxing. There is a path around part of the Lake, and it's enjoyable to walk along the water looking for tad poles in the Spring. It's a shallow body of water, but non-motorized boats could be portaged in for use. We wade sometimes. It has a sand bottom but we recommend aqua socks. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us. We want to hear from you.
You are close to all Dells attractions here. We are only 2.1 miles from the interstate 90/94, off exit 85, so you can jump back on the interstate and go up an exit or just stay on highway 12/16 to the Dells. It's less than ten minutes.
The nearest Wisconsin River boat landing is only a couple of miles away. There are several boating options before you even get to the Dells, as well as horse back riding; an auto racing track; hay rides; a farm stand that sells fresh eggs and vegetables in the summer; and much, much more.
Thank you, again, for considering our home.
Note: The Wisconsin River is very close. It's only about two miles. Feel free to bring a boat for use on the Wisconsin River or any of the larger area lakes.
Sue and Dave Hanson
